I love our adventures together,
and the greatest adventure is being
your dad.

Poem: Fixing Lunch
Here is poem while I fix my daughter’s lunch for school tomorrow. I have knew found respect for single parents. I am experiencing what it is like to be truly a single parent, while I have my daughter for this Christmas period. Being divorced and coparenting is a lot different, and I usually only see 3 days a week. Don’t get me wrong, I am so grateful to be spending extra time with my daughter. It’s wonderful and exhausting. I am making her lunch for school tomorrow, I wish I could just go to bed. 🙂
Poem: Fixing Lunch
love is falling asleep while laying next to you,
then waking up to fix your lunch.
love is following the rules of your preschool,
and packing you a no meat lunch
love is cooking rice noodles,
and stir frying vegetables with veggie hot dogs.
love simply is,
and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meditation Poem Series: #31
It has been a day full of joy and quality family time. It’s been neat to see my daughter interact with my brother and my sister-in-law, and the continuing closeness she develops with her halmoni (grandma) and bpa-bpa (grandpa). It’s the first Christmas I’ve had her since the divorce, and the first Christmas my parents have spent with their granddaughter. Today was such a full day. I was exhausted, but able to sit for 15 minutes in the afternoon. I am truly grateful for daily practice even in the midst of a family visit.
Meditation Poem #31

Meditation Poem Series: #30
I meditated this morning, before heading down to NC with my daughter to visit family. It will be an adventure in parenting and still coming back to my seat during the time I have her for Christmas time.
